I'm anxious to get there. I haven't been back to visit in 8 months, and it's about time.

Lights
When you make the finding yourself - even if you're the last person on Earth to see the light - you'll never forget it.

Humidity and hair in San Diego
Let's track this as a timeline
My hair started out normal.
Then it started to get frizzy. (Bassam coffee house)
I found a way to hide it. (In Ashley's studio)
And put it up in a bun, ashamed. (Balboa park)
Finally, I embraced it and let my hair down. (Outside the art and natural history museums)
And then it happened. The curls came.
As bad as the dry weather is in SLC, I'm grateful for the dependability it gives to my hair :)

3 arches
I went to Moab for Ivy's wedding this weekend. I was so happy to spend time with my parents and get some sun and warm weather in me! We stopped/hiked to Wilson, Bow tie, and corona arches and it reminded me how much I love slick rock and Moab. I can't wait for summer :)

Custom blog header
Did you notice my new addition? A perk of knowing a super talented artistic allstar. Click here to see this guy, he is my favorite, and he gave me a few to choose from. He could make one for you too...

Red polish
I Shall Paint My Nails Red
because a bit of a colour is a public service
because I am proud of my hands.
because it will remind me I'm a woman.
because I will look like a survivor.
because I can admire them in traffic jams
because my daughter will say ugh.
because my lover will be surprised.
because it is quicker than dyeing my hair.
because it is a ten-minute moratorium.
because it is reversible.
