Alright so I usually hate this holiday. But this year was pretty A-Oh-Kay!
Started off the weekend right with sushi and a suns game in Salt Lake.
Jonathan came to Utah to visit some friends so he got to come with us :) Don't mind the sushi in his mouth. I didn't give him time to finish chewing.
Probably one of my favorite pictures of the weekend! I love Jamie.
Saturday I carved a pumpkin [by myself] cause I LOVE it so much. We bought other pumpkins but they are all left very much un-carved.
And Friday night I went to a party... We saw some amazing costumes. We dressed as Hermoine and Ron, and there was a Harry too. This one is for mi familia... haha.
Then there is Lindsey and Greg haha... She was Snoop Dogg and he was Katy Perry! Yikes.
What a fun weekend :) I'm exhausted. Time for bed, then yet another week.

Jonsi was such a good show :) He is so strange, so Icelandic, and so talented.
Me and Jamie went on a date night and saw him play in Salt Lake. I love you Jamers thanks for being my date :)
After the show we met up with ze boyz and sat in the car while they drank coke and took pictures of themselves. Night well spent.

My life is good. I have things pretty easy. If the worst that happens to me during a week is a lack of sleep and being too busy, I'd say I'm a very blessed young lady.
Onward, to a week better than the last.
Please pray for Robbie Ferrin and family, Nick is very loved and he is in the Lord's hands now.

Without TV (except Greys. but that's necessary)
Without texting people I didn't want to text back
Without looking at blogs
And it felt good :) I think it helped me focus a lot more. So my liiittle studying I did for my mid terms was actually very productive, and I did well on them.
I am glad I can read blogs again though. I feel so out of the loop when I don't. Happy week :)

After my rough night on Friday, I had work all day/night Saturday. I came home STARVING and looked in my fridge.
Sissy left me Zupas take out AND Frozen yogurt. She knows me so well!
Then after work on Sunday, I made din din for Ryan and Em. I miss living with them! I made curry.... curry is never very photogenic.
And then they took some modeling pictures for me :)
What a great weekend :)
Took a midterm this morning, and have another one tomorrow. Haven't studied one bit.

1 week of no Facebook
1 week of not reading anyone's blog
1 week of no TV
1 week of going to bed by midnight (lights off, no computer!)
1 week of no unnecessary texting
1 week. Starting. Right. Now.

I hate to be a pessimist. But SERIOUSLY this is one of those weeks.
I'm exhausted. I am so busy it blows my mind. And I can't fall asleep, again.
So what can I do about it? I was reading some talks here and it humbled me a little bit, and helped me remember that life is greater than this week's stress.
"One of our most important challenges in staying mentally and physically healthy is learning how to manage stress. Notice I said manage, not eliminate. It’s unrealistic, perhaps even unwise, to think that the ideal condition is a stress-free one. The need to complete a task, to be at a certain place by a certain time, to meet the expectations of other people, and to satisfy our own internal drives to achieve all help keep us moving. Actually, I wonder how much we would progress if we did not experience some stress.
The idea that all stress is bad and should be avoided is only one of the myths of stress. Another myth goes to the other extreme: “Stress is unavoidable, so why try?” The truth is really somewhere in between. The most intelligent way of managing stress is to take a look at your life and plan to reduce or eliminate unnecessary stress.
It’s not difficult to see that noise alone can create stress, not to mention the fact that all those machines and people are demanding some kind of attention. By simply eliminating optional noises—the radio, the television, the washing machine and dishwasher—you can automatically lower the stress level and some of the feelings of irritation that naturally result. So, although stress is not all bad, we can and ought to reduce it."Val D. MacMurray, “When Life Is Getting You Down,” Ensign
I can do hard things. Working 30 hours a week, and going to school full time are good stresses. I chose this. Being this busy is a test, and it is helping me learn and grow. School and work are not the enemy, believe it or not. After reading the above mentioned talk, I feel the need to eliminate some of the unnecessary stress in my life. Tomorrow, when I'm not so tired, I will make a plan :)

Wake up, comb my hair
Making food disappear
Riding bikes, making out
Elephants swimming down
You and I run away
Brushing ticks, so we must
Cover full of fireworks
Every time, everyone, everything's full of life
Everyday, everywhere, people are so alive
We should all be -Oh- alive!

Or how bout the time I woke up at 4:00 AM sobbing because I had such bad cramps... and she took me out to the living room and tickled my back while we watched a movie.
Or when I had such bad insomnia, but I could only fall asleep with her in the room. So she tucked me in every night.
I LOVE JAMIEEEE and I wish she wasn't in bed right now!
